I quite liked Give Me Your Hand. Maybe it was just because I thought the twins were hot (although I actually preferred one over the other).
See, I didn't particularly like the twins, but I doubt it would have made a difference.
I watched:The Truth about Alex
* A made for tv coming-out movie with some good elements and performances. It reflects the time in which is was made and some of the events would no longer happen these days, I hope. There has been progress. I did feel the movie left some things unresolved and open-ended, and you all know how much I hate that. Scott Baio was not bad actually *
I don't actually recommend the following movie Curious
* a straight-to-video (pardon the pun) release whose description reads as a coming-out story. It's rather more like soft-porn. Don't read on if you don't want to spoil the storyline (haha) but in which world, mr screenwriter does a guy break up with his girlfriend, goes to a gay nightclub (which looks more like a seedy bar) that has some sort of sm bar on the top floor, takes poppers, gets 'seduced' in a toilet cubicle, takes more poppers and gets 'seduced' by another guy on a couch and still expect some sort of happy ending
* This almost coming-out story is amazingly funny and sweet *True Love
* A collection of seven gay stories ranging from very short to short. The cover says "stunning, revelatory and moving", I would say it's more "poignant, unhappy and sad". The acting is not bad and some of the stories are realistic even, they just don't paint a very happy picture of the search for true love *Gone, But Not Forgotten
Not bad though the limited budget shows. At first I thought it seemed to suggest that amnesia could 'turn you gay' but fortunately, that was not the case. The performances by the actors are more than OK, the storyline is a little iffy but does raise some interesting questions. Overall, an enjoyable movie for a rainy day.
