Have you always wanted to know what makes your fellow FMF-ers tick?? How they feel about something?? What they like or dislike??

Well, now you can wink.gif

Send me your suggestions for a poll in a PM and next week's Easy Weekly Poll could be your question thumbsup.gif

A few rules:
- This is meant to be fun, so no difficult, controversial or political questions.
- Try and limit the number of options

Since according to wikipedia

QUOTE
Modern mainland Europe practice is to refer to a bed by explicit width

I'm doing bed width only. I've tried to include the widths most commonly found in the UK, the USA and Europe, can't believe there are so many variations!! As wiki says, the cm/inches are '(very) approximate equivalents' lol_2.gif

1.4m here. Lucky me. smile.gif

Any of you boys want to join me, you know where I am. wink.gif
CBEntr
In the U.S. we go by name (ie. Twin, Full, Queen, etc.), so had to look up "Queen" lol_2.gif, which is 60" width.
jumbler
Well, mine's not far off that. smile.gif It did spend most of its life in a house 60 miles away. Wouldn't mind taking it with me if I move again. smile.gif

Er, no thanks. shaky.gif

I sleep in a full size, but my dream is a queen (I'm not greedy--just tall).
Mange81
100 so it doesnt match any of the altenatives...
CyanIsland
I sleep in a double, which is 140 cm wide. It's just me, though, so there's lots of room to move about.
smalltown
None of the above. Mine is 150cm so annoyingly it is 10cm narrower than the most appropriate bed frame thingy.
Parsifal
Queen size bed (60"/160cm).
Don't need a king size because I like to put my arm around a guy during the night. biggrin.gif

Mine's only 90cm, and I'm more than happy with that as it means that ONLY me fits nicely in it bleh.gif

If I'm staying at Mum & Dad's, I have to sleep in my old (single) bed. Mainly because Dad sleeps in the guest room nowadays.

I don't like it - it's too small. sad.gif

AndyJ
I read the title as band width not bed width!

Ummm no idea of the width though, standard UK size double? Would love a big wide bed though at some point. I'm a duvet stealer.
blake2108
My bed is single like me. Don't know how that equates into metres though

And where's the fun in that. Besides, you can't "starfish" in a single. In any case my double is only big enough for me, I'd need a full-on triple if I am to actually get a proper night's sleep in the same bed as someone else.

Same, which is why I always leave with bruises as I have a tendancy to roll out unexpectedly thinking there is more bed than there is... loon.gif

Why is that? Did your mum kick your dad out of the bedroom?

Actually, no. More like he stormed out, due to having an interrupted night's sleep. lol_2.gif

Sadly, they've got to the age where you physically need/get less sleep. And have also acquired various long-running conditions. So one, or both tend to wake up repeatedly in the middle of the night - and wake up the other one in the process. sad.gif

A really, really, big bed might be an answer, but there's hardly the room for one, really. unsure.gif

It's actually extremely common for a lot of long-term married couples (my parents included). There are many reasons, but many couples are still very much in love. Sometimes it's just nice to have a room of one's own, no matter the commitment level.

I always thought there was something wrong when a married couple had separate bedrooms or even separate beds. But like you say, I guess not.

I grew up in a house where my parents shared the same bed and on Sunday mornings there was a lot of laughing and giggling going on behind that bedroom door. grindance.gif

Separate rooms doesn't mean there's no sex. bleh.gif Well, in my parents' case, it does. cold.gif And my paternal grandparents apparently had an active sex life until my grandmother died. (Thank GOD I never found that out firsthand.) And good for your parents. smile.gif

Mine is a kingsize.

I can't be bothered to measure it with a ruler though so I have no idea about which option to enter in the poll.
