According to todays paper the actor who plays Ben Mitchell has been arrested for an alleged sexual assault. There are also reports he was removed from his school recently over claims he was bullying other pupils.

Wonder where this leaves his current storyline. If the BBC sack him, which is likely imho as they hate this sort of PR, then it leaves the entire thing in limbo.

Phil would be proud...

Maybe when they advised him to really get into the role he took their advice on board and has now found out that what happens in Eastenders is not acceptable in real life!!

Eastenders do seem good at putting in new "actors" and "actresses" at all times so it shouldnt be to much of a problem

The only problem is Magnus, is that if they recast the character of Ben Mitchell again, it would be frigging ridiculous to have him regenerate again like The Doctor in Doctor Who, if he came back again.

No, they shouldn't kill him off, nor should he go back to prison to regenerate . Former executive producer Bryan Kirkwood getting rid of Cheryl Fergison aka Heather Trott and having Ben kill her off was such a stupid move, as it was another thing that wrecked the character. There is sadly no way back for Ben it seems as he probably will reveal all.

It's a shame they can't keep characters like Ben on and give him other storylines, and yet the rubbish characters that don't do anything, don't have their characters/reputations wrecked and stay on for a hundred years.

I hate that Ben anyway. Bring back the camp as fuck one who loved dancing to Girls Aloud and Love Game.

It's been confirmed that Ben will depart Albert Square, I guess he will go to prison for the death of Heather. If Phil's still around in a few years, they'll probably recast Ben again when he's in his late teens. Not sure whether recent events have triggered this or it might have been already decided prior to the news of his arrest.

I prefer the character of this Ben. They toned down the campness.
But Bens always been nasty even when played by previous actor (he physically abused baby Freddie, abused Stella before she abused him, abused sister
Louise when she tried to 'out' him in his diary, punched homophobic baiter Jordan)


Hope the real life allegations against actor arent true. This follows the bullying accusations grom last year. Hmmmm.
