They will be releasing their first album in 7 years this May. "Not Your Kind Of People" it's called, and the first single "Blood For Poppies" is up for grabs as an official free download.
I love that there will be some sort of resurgence of female alternopop from the 90's this year, what with the recent release of the new record from the Cranberries, plus up-and-coming ones from Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple and No Doubt.

ARGH!! FINALLY!!!!
I SO hope I get to see them live this time around - they were one of my favourite bands in the 90s and this single is definitely stronger than the singles on their last album.

can't see that linky (set to private), but i love Garbage, and this is a very welcome return. Add to that '90's list Skunk Anansie, whose output since their return a few years back has been amazing.

I've been looking forward to this for about 4 years, ever since Shirley first hinted at a reunion. Going to see them in May, I CAN'T FOOKING WAIT!!!

A few years ago there were two regrets I had. One was not seeing Skunk Anansie when they were together and the other was not seeing Garbage. Skunk Anansie shocked and delighted me when they reunited and not only did a great tour, but did a great follow up album/tour. They came back as strong as ever and that thrilled me.
Now Garbage are back with a new album and i'm hoping more than that one measley date in London is to come as there's no way i'm missing out on their reunion tour. This has got to be one of, if not THE album i've looked forward to most in years.
I've heard a snippet of the song and it sounds promising. Bit of a mix of their later stuff and the mojo from the first two albums. Very excited!
