May have already resolved this but for reference...
Assuming you have full internet connectivity (please confirm this), failure in loading the store is usually the result of content control software which also may include antivirus/firewalls etc.
1) So the first step is to rule these out- disable them temporarily and check connectivity. Remember to switch them back on again.
2) Your firewall needs to allow access to the following domains:
-itunes.apple.com
-ax.itunes.apple.com
-albert.apple.com
-gs.apple.com
3a) Content control software works by installing a 'Layered Service Provider' or 'LSP'. Which basically monitor internet traffic and can block or allow it as necessary. These can modify the 'Winsock key' which in essence defines how windows software accesses internet services. Try resetting it....
Do the following in an administrator user:
>Windows Vista and Windows 7: Right click All Programs and choose Accessories > Command Prompt. >Choose to open as an administrator.
>Windows XP: Click Start > Run and type in cmd.
>Enter the following command:
netsh winsock reset
>Restart the computer & test.
3b) Note: Content control software may be reinserting the LSP. To see if you have one installed see the following information from apple: It is slightly technical...
LinkyIf you do find content control software blocking the store and remove/change it you may need to perform step 3a again.
Failing that...could be something else entirely. Haha!
