Didn't you always know the first openly gay party leader would be a Conservative smile.gif

Doing anything they can to get more Scottish support I see. Don't they only have one MP in the whole of Scotland.

Wasn't it another 'kickboxer', well handbagger, though not a lesbian who like a latter day Duchess of Sutherland, cleared not only the Highlands but also the Lowlands of Conservatives? Certainly she used Scotland as the fodder for experimentations in social policy by implementing the Poll Tax there before it became her nadir.

I suspect her election will hardly show on the Tory life support machine in Scotland.

This is the best thread title we have had for ages!!

Oh come on chaps, you're being a little bit unfair!

I hear she is already having the village telephone box redecorated so that all of the Scottish Conservative MP's (sorry, make that the one and only Scottish Conservative MP) can gather together in one place to give her a warm welcome! lol_2.gif

Is the telephone box a euphemism for a bonfire......................perhaps the combustible material could be composed of U-turns, broken promises and unused ballot forms for the Lisbon Treaty smile.gif

Very light on policy and had very little support from the Tory backbenches I give her a year.

Also you are incorrect that honour would go to the Scottish Greens who elected Patrick Harvie as Co-Convenor in 2008.

A night on Sauchiehall Street when you expound your thoughts would be interesting to watch - from a distance
