I need to lock my computer as my nephew and nieces are coming to stay with me, can anyone tell me how to "lock" my computer so Iam the only one who can access it, many thanks sent bbuk

I remember my first pc had an actual lock on it but i haveny seen that since. What you want is to password protect so nonody can get past that on reeboot . not sure how but im sure Google will know depending on what OS u are using

If you already have to put in a password when you log in, you can just hold down the windows key and press L, and your screen should lock. If you don't have a password on your account, you can put one on under the User Accounts section in Control Panel. Then you can lock it with windows+L as described above.

edit: the above is assuming you use Windows, of course.

That is the best advice ..... but if you want them to use it then perhaps set up a 'guest' account which will give them basic access.

Failing all that then perhaps locking it away in a cupboard = lol.
