The server farm where our servers reside went on fire during the night, no data have been lost but due to security reasons the power in the entire plant have been switched off and will remain offline for the next 24hours.

We're deeply sorry, keep finger crossed for our website!

Seemed to be working fine on friday and saturday for me...

Only thing that I didn't get was the weekly update email.

I hate the celeb archive. I've been an administrator on there like 3 or 4 times and everytime due to some fluke I lost my status and had to start uploading all over again.
Everytime I contacted the owner, he just shrugged his shoulders and said it's the system he can't do anythign about it.
Stoped caring now.

The Celeb Archive is back online, we passed a bad weekend down here, but everything have been fixed quickly and in less than 8 hours after the fire in the serverfarm we were back online.
As you may have read in newspapers it's been Italian's worst internet failure, 1.6millions websites have been shut down for an entire day by a single battery failure. Looks crazy, but that's Italy.

As every time after a "disaster" we found out a way to avoid this happening again in the future and we've now improved our infrastructure with a CDN replication system which will create copies of the Celeb Archive in 108 servers around the world to prevent any system breakdown in any condition granting us a 100% guaranteed uptime and a +30% faster website than before.


And now... keep finger crossed!

I was just ranting, obviously I don't hate the CA and if you're a member there look out for DreamingDan.
And I think Sergio does a great job keeping that site alive for so many years now.

EDIT: Scratch that, not that amazing. Pretty much all the pics can be found on a quick Google search & the layout is a bit all over the place. FMF no contest

But the idea is to have all the pics together without having to google each and everyone of it.
Also it has a massive advantage above FMF; No picture blacklist.
Apart from underaged or hardcore porn pics you can post everyhting and it stays and doesn't disappear after two weeks.

That's true but then again you can't really compare the two anyway.

CelebArchive is the reference library, designed for solitary browsing. FMF is the coffee room adjacent to that library, a welcome spot for catching up on gossip and general chatter.
