QUOTE(x2k @ Jan 12 2006, 09:55 PM) *

Here's a site which promotes the need to report homophobic abuse and hate crimes. Thought a lot of members may find it of interest...

SING - Silence Is Not Golden

SING is a amazing site!

I will also point out (I don't think it's above) that the majority of Police Forces in the UK have LAGLO or GLO officer (they may come under different names in your area).

LAGLO or GLO are Lesbian and Gay Liason Officers. They are in place to help the LBGT community. You can request to talk to one of them instead of a regular Police officer if you feel it would be better for you to speak to someone who wouldn't judge you or maybe not take you seriously or even less embarassing if it is something of a nature you are struggling to talk about.

Not all LAGLO or GLO officers are gay themselves infact in our force most are straight but want to help. Most are Police Officers but some are Civilians (Police Staff) or PCSO's.

Dorset & Hampshire LAGLO

Hope that is of help

Just had this site pointed out to me. It's London based but still contains a fair amount of useful information on condoms, safe sex and relationship tips.

A new Website calledDiscrimination online has been launched today
Run by Brabners Chaffe, specialists in descrimination law,it contains useful information for anyone who thinks they are being discriminated against.

It is the first website to offer detailed advice on what to do, who to contact, what laws protect you and how.

The advice is both for employees who think they might have been a target, and employers who want to reduce discrimination in their workplace.

Information taken from the Pink News website.

Hi Guys,

As many of you know I am the Operations Director for Gay Surrey so I am really pleased to tell you about a new website which we hope will stop hundreds of kids being bullied at school.

Gay Surrey has developed a new website for kids to report cases of homophobic bullying in school. If this affects you or one of your friends, have a look at the website and perhaps we can help you.
