Of course I have no clue if that last post was directed at me, but just in case...
I'm not personally anti-Christian. Assuming someone is homophobic because they're Christian is silly. But this guy has been associated with anti-gay programs (though he has distanced himself lately) and did an advertisement for an organization that supports taking away women's rights. I have Christian friends and Republicans friends, and I frequently disagree with them. I wouldn't even consider myself Liberal. However, none of those friends would ever be associated with such groups.
I was the first person that said let's give the dude at least some benefit of doubt. The flat-out assumption by some that he was homophobic I felt was misguided. I have no hate in my heart for Tim, myself or anyone else. Even if Tim were a homophobic conservative I couldn't hate him. I'm American and very proud to be. There's nothing militant about me.
Also, "Poofs" would are so unrelentingly critical of gay men tend to have self-hatred themselves or are very shallow. Believe me, the most extremely hateful people come in all shapes and sizes, races, religions, political believes and sexual orientations.
