I was thinking recently about the interrelationship between the views on topics posted on this forum (namely the 'view' forum) and the number of comments.
My intention here isn't to stand on any toes... Unless you like that?
There are 43940 (as of when this was written) registered users on this fine forum, yet when a topic, for example, a recent one I started (on Theo Hutchcraft, from the band Hurts) received 820 views in the first 3 hours after I started it, received one comment. I'm not complaining about that, it's nice to see people have shared interests. This happens on many topics, many thousands of views, but sometimes only enough comments to count on my fingers (and toes)
Is that one person, revisiting LOADS of times, or are people just checking it out? Are any of the 819 that didn't comment, interested at all in the topic, or find the person attractive? Again, I'm not talking about my topic alone, that was an example. Even on topics about the forever lovely Tom Daley, 20+ comments seem to be the norm.
I do understand that if everyone commented, then all hell would break loose!
Not a complaint, just an observation.
