Did anyone see Breakfast news this morning, the interview with Danny Alexander on the Bob Diamond resignation?

I thought Breakfast Presenter Charlie rocked, He had Danny Alexander in a corner.

I've had a soft sport for Charlie ever since his Channel 5 days, And looking at Danny Alexander looks like he is ageing and putting on weight lol

It is a pity they didn't put someone competent to answer, like, Chloe Smith smile.gif

I understand that the PM has changed his mind and is no longer having a parliamentary enqury into the fixing of the Libor rate. Instead those with specific experience will be asked to consider the matter:

Chair: Fred Goodwin

Deputy Chair: Baroness Warsi

Committee:

Mr John Stonehouse

Dr Emil Savundra

Mr Robert Maxwell

Mr Jim Slater

Lord Kagan

Dame Shirley Porter

Reginald Mauldling

Mr John Bloom

Mr Gerald Ronson

Sir Philip Green (Baron Green of Monaco)

Lord Ashcroft of Belize

Mr Jimmy Carr

Mr Adam Werrity (may be represented by Dr LIam Fox)

Mr Neil Hamilton (may be represented by Mrs Neil Hamilton)

Mr Ernest Saunders

I thought that Charlie was meant to be hopeless? In only a week he's been told off by Susannah Reid for forgetting they went to the flicks together and only yesterday Miriam Margoyles chastised him for getting her name wrong.

I like Charlie 'Stayt'. He's got a filthy twinkle in his eye.

Yeah he's nice, although Huw Edwards is still my number one in the BBC news presenter stakes. I would let Huw do very bad things to me wub.gif

Presentation in the news can sadly be more important than the message being delivered. The comments here about Charlie Stayt seem to demonstrate that.

I watched an interview with Yvette Cooper the other day and all I could concentrate on was that however many times she shook her head, leaned forward, emphasised a point was that her hair never moved. Whatever she said that was of any value was completed eradicated by my fixation on her immobile hair.

Charlie came to journalism late in life.

He had previously been a barman, a roofer and a roadie! thumbsup.gif
