Anyone else watching?

I enjoyed the first episode, liked the dark sinister undertones. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the show pans out.

A show about a girl who moves back to some small town to get "revenge" on the local residents who got her dad arrested/murdered when she was a young girl.

Lots of bitching, back stabbing, plotting, devious plans afoot, plus some eye candy smile.gif

I thought it was solid pilot episode and I'm very much looking forward to the rest of the season.


Emily Vancamp is wonderful, I loved her as Rebecca Harper on Brothers and Sisters. Really decent actress.

I know this is the UK thread, so no spoilers, but I just wanted to say that this is a great new show. I've just finished the first season, and loved it.

Really good acting all round, and a couple of hotties thrown in for good measure. Lovely.

I was talking to a friend today who has also just finished the first season.
I was told to 'stick with it' because its a really rewarding show.


Not too big it up or anything, I got the impression it wasn't amazing but good enough.

That's what I thought actually.
I did like it but it all looked a bit cheaply done. It reminded me more of something like the Hills.
Given it plays in the high society of New York I would have expected a more glossy and polished look.
The main character sells it for me though. I like her cold bloodedness. She isn't some whiny victim seeking justice but as she points out straight in the beginning she want's revenge in the most basic sense of the word.
I hope it stays that way but I'm pretty sure she'll get all emotional eventually, especially looking at how she is gonna fake (?) a relationship with Danny.
A pleasant surprise was too see Ashley Madewke (Ashley) in it, who I loved as Bambi in secret Diary of a Call girl. Good on her to get a role in the states like this. thumbsup.gif
On the hotty front Ima gonna go with Jack. Danny is hot in a Dale Howard/Marc Wright kinda way but just as those he looks like a complete retard. Bit off putting. wink.gif

It definitely does dip a little in places, but that's only because there are one or two characters that are genuinely not very likeable, and you won't give a shit about them. But I can't really think of any series that doesn't have one or two filler episodes along the way. On the whole, it's a strong first season. There are some brilliant characters, a reasonably interesting story, and a good finale.

Hope you enjoy it.

Oh, and Astron, you're right. Daniel is all kinds of gorgeous but he's just so wet behind the ears, it's really off-putting. Jack is also completely lovely in a different way, and not quite as pathetic. And Ashley is good in this, I was also pleasantly surprised to see her.
