The name 'Bree Tripp' makes me think of Beaujolais Nouveau.

the plot holes from this series bleh.gif

I thought it ended rather lovely. I did want some big time revelations but it tied things nicely. I will miss it but it ended on a high.

It was good. Seemed really rushed though. The wedding, the birth, the court case, Karen's illness etc.

The rest of the series seemed a bit slow (Susan's art class storyline..zzz) I feel that they could have spread it out a bit more.

I wanted to finale to be a bit different, not like every other episode. Do you remember the Beau Bridges episode? They could have done that with Karen or something.. The dead people all wearing white was almost laughable.

I don't really like how they recapped everyones lives either, there isn't much chance of a special or a film 5 years down the line when they can't get any other acting jobs bleh.gif

I liked the box scene. I don't really care what's in the box but it was a fitting final scene for the series.

Watched the finale tonight, really enjoyed it. I was very worried from the preview it would be all about Renee and Julie but thankfully it wasn't.

Also, it is just me or did they go WAY over the top in trying to hide Edie's presence from the show? Everyone know why but I would have thought even a passing mention or even one shot in the opening montage would have been made. She is the #1 character who should have been in the final "dead people" shot and it's such a shame that outside events stopped that happening.

Who gives a shit about Kathryn anyway? I completely forgot she was supposed to be a lesbian. They should have brought back the black woman and her hot son from season 2, she was the best character they never used properly. What about Andrew too? He got really shafted in the last 2 seasons. It does make me sad that the women never saw each other again but I suppose that's the most realistic thing the show has ever done sad.gif

I don't know why people keep saying that, like it is inevitable that all friendships just drift apart.
I find it highly unrealistic actually that woman in their fifties/near fifty start all over again, get flashy jobs, new husbands and whatnot. They've been through it all many times over, nothing ever made them leave for good.
The more I think about it the surer I am that Marc Cherry just put that in to polarize.
It's the only thing that somewhat surprised people in the final and the most discussed.
Really cheap attempt actually, after a whole season banging on about how friendship is the most important thing in the world to the ladies.
Well apparently not as important as new jobs and men. rolleyes.gif

I've had plenty of friendships in my life that have just drifted apartment or ended even though at the time they feel like it will last forever, it's just what happens vwhen people's lives change or people move to another place.

I think events on the lane bought them together. Although it's easy to see how the Housewives would have drifted apart once they had moved away. Gabby would have made new showbiz pals. Bree was mixing with a different class when she became a Kentucky Legislature. Renee was an outsider of the group, they never let her in on their secret, plus she seemed to prefer male company so no surprise that she drifted apart from them. So that just leaves Lynette and Susan who shared a grandchild, therefore it's unlikely that they would have not stayed in touch.
