Hi folks. My Sky+ box is playing up again. I get a message saying "a Sky+ error has occurred" and having had this before I know the only solution is a full master reset - meaning I lose all my treasure recordings. But before i do this I wondered if I could copy the stuff I have on the Sky+ hard drive to my computer. Which led me to Copy+.

Have any of you used Copy+ and if so, did it work? It sounds quite simple - even for me - but before i go buying a USB caddy I want to make sure I will definitely get my recordings. Most of my recordings are from Sky Sports so does anyone know if these will be copyright protected, meaning this whole idea would be pointless?

Dunno what Copy + is but if you are thinking you can use the Sky+ USB port then it does absolutely nothing and never has done .

Hi molley.

See link:

I know the USB port is useless (complete waste of time by Sky for putting it there in the first place).

Also note that copy+ will not read disks using the current darwin software i.e Amstrad sky+ HD 1tb and 500mb boxes... tryed it myself and it wouldn't read the disk as raw.. so don't bother opening your box... was told by the copy+ owners that they don't yet have an update of copy+ that will read the disk. that are currently using the most upto date EPG software
