Another marathon session later (less than 24 hours, with little breaks for sleep and food

) my thoughts on season 4.
What a complete mess.
I don't think I liked it much. There were like a thousand storylines going on at once and none was related to the other, it felt totally disjointed and overloaded.
They could have easily done without the whole fairy stuff cause that was neither here nor there. They cramped a whole lot of stuff in the first episode only to then never mention it again or make it relevant. Having a fairy pop out of nowhere at random points throughout doesn't count. Sookies grandfather to come back from the dead only to die 5 minutes later was taking the piss.
The whole doll thing was also shite. Having LaFaette discover that he is a medium could have been done easier and quicker (e.g. when they went to Mexico), it didn't need an overlong arc that was detached from everything and also made little to no sense.
Wherever did the Werepanther go? That storyline was completely dropped in the second half and Jasons immidiate recover from days of torture and rape (which were easily the most unsettling scenes of the whole show) was just ridiculous.

I liked the time jump but again they didn't really go with it. "Oh Sookie you've returned" - back to business like nothing happened.
I loved the changed Tara and Jason, they improved so much and where fun to watch but as the show went on they just fell back into the exact same ways they were before. Shame.
Sookie and Eric....hmm....no. As adorable as he was I don't like them together but then again Sookie is a cunt so I don't care much whoever she is with.
The whole Tommy thing was effed up. Sam has proven once more what a dickhead he is, caring more for random pussy than his brother who clearly needed him.
What's getting really ridiculous now is once again a group of people who try to go against vampires are the "evil ones" and need to be eliminated.
Hello? Vampires are TOTALLY EVIL!!!! They deserve every hate and predjudice that is coming their way. Total elimination is letting them off easy. Wake up people for frigg sake.

Jesus died. Why? Was that necessary?
Don't get me started on Jason and Jessica, worst idea ever. Jason has sunk his lowest ever (and he's been pretty low before).

The general Vampires killing Vampires got silly in the end.
Tara?...

...

Things I liked:
-the main storyline with the witches was pretty good. Fiona Shaw (Marnie) was totally amazing and kick ass.

- Jesus
- Alcide and Eric spending 90% of the season in various states of undress.

- Tommy killing his parents, they so deserved it.
-Holly, found her annoying at first but warmed to her. She's kinda cool.
- Pam
So at least I got Scott Foley to look forward too. Hopefull all sorts of naked too.

My guess is that we're gonna see Zombies this time around. The signs and hints where everywhere in season 4.
Hope it will be up to old standards again.
