What's the hex code for a transparent background??, would rather use transparent in sigs/pics etc. Options

I'd really like to know if you can hex code a transparent background. This is because some imaging sites/applications don't really seem to offer 'transparent' as a menu choice, although you can program any other colour combination if you know the HTML/hex code for it.

Or failing that, a really, really, really pale shade of grey (but not white, because... it stands out ). Thanks, BTW.

I don't think transparent has a hex code. It doesn't work like that.

As a qualified traffic engineer I can confirm that this is the appropriate signage for that:



Transparency isn't in hex codes because a hex code is the RGB value "RRGGBB". I have no idea how you define it in html hex which I presume is what you're asking as transparency is from the Alpha value (0 being transparent and 1 being opaque) and that isn't represented by 24-bit colour which is what your standard hex values do. I would guess it's different in every language/situation you try and code it.

i think you can give things transparent colours usually by saving as in a photo editor and choosing PNG ext.. afaik..
