Ass Hair Removal - Wax? Veet? Shave?

Mine is hairy to the point that it's quite uncomfortable/difficult during sex so I don't really have a choice. I shaved it a few years ago a few times and would never do it again...it grows back really spiky and kind of hurts. Usually I Veet it using Veet For Men hair removal cream. I only need to do it about once every two or three months as it grows back really slowly. I've always found Veet the best method, however the last couple of times it's grown back really spiky. I did it on Friday, and my whole arse is covered in red spots and blotches...it looks awful!! The only other thing I can think of is waxing...has anyone had any experience with this?!!

I don't see the point in removing the whole lot, just keep it groomed and tidy.
