can anyone help, nearly 48hours ago i went in to 02 and got a lease contract for 12months with the iphone 4s, i wanted to keep my number from my pay and go iphone which i was told was no problem, after everything was completed i was told that my signel from my old phone would vanish and be transferred onto my new iphone within 48hours, but still nothing. was wondering if i need to do anything? can anyone help!!

I can't recall how long it took when I transferred from one network to another but I don't think it was as long as 48 hours . Is your new phone ON or OFF ..Have you tried switching it off for a while then switching it back on again .

yea i have turned both on and off lots of times, i will switch it off for a while see what happens, if still nothing will contact o2,

Maybe a couple of days too late, but assuming that the original PAYG iPhone was on O2:

Have you filled in the form on the O2 website to move your number across? You should then get an email and the number should change over same day.

When I moved from PAYG to a Simplicity monthly tarrif, I had submitted this form but nothing happened - so resubmitted the next day and the number was moved to the new SIM within a couple of hours.


If you're moving from another provider, then you need to get a PAC from them first and use that to port the number over to O2.
