Unanimously brilliant reviews for Madonna's best album (imo) since 'Ray Of Light'.

Madonna's 'MDNA' is released worldwide on 26th March. An 18 track Deluxe Edition is out same day, with 17 tracks and one exclusive remix. MDNA, recorded in New York and LA, reunites Madonna with former collaborator William Orbit ("Ray of Light") who co-wrote and co-produced several cuts on the new album. Other co producers include Martin Solveig, The Demolition Crew, Marco "Benny" Benassi and Alessandro "Alle" Benassi, Hardy "Indiigo" Muanza, Michael Malih and Madonna.

Tracklist (with clips):

1. Girl Gone Wild

2. Gang Bang

3. I'm Addicted

4. Turn Up The Radio

5. Give Me All Your Luvin'

6. Some Girls

7. Superstar

8. I Don't Give A

9. I'm A Sinner

10. Love Spent

11. Masterpiece

12. Falling Free

13. Beautiful Killer

14. I Fucked Up

15. B'Day Song

16. Best Friend

Bit cheap to just colab with some big names to make a sure hit.
When was the last time she had a success song on her own? huh.gif

Define how you mean "success" and "on her own"

Before her last album she hardly ever "duetted" with anyone so her last truely successfull solo hits were from Confessions on a Dancefloor. Which in terms of releases wasn't that long ago even though in years it might seem a long time.

And isn't collaborating with big names to make sure of a hit what Rihanna does with nearly every track she releases? well it seems like that anyway.

Not at all.
Most Rihanna collaborations are random celeb feat Rihanna not Rihanna feat. random celeb.
She is usually the one providing the hit guaranty.

I don't have anything against Madonna in general but the Hard Candy stuff was only meh and that was with the help of JT and Pharrell Williams.
Confessions on a Dancefloor was a classic! thumbsup.gif

Sounds promising. Hard Candy was utter rubbish.

Confessions on a Dancefloor was one of Madonna's best albums IMO.
Absolutely loved it.

And Nicki Minaj is fantastic - I love how she's appearing everywhere. Can't wait for her follow up to Pink Friday.

i think the main issue with Hard Candy was the production - the early ('orchestral') version of 'Voices' is stunning; and 'Across The Sky' and 'Animal' show how good it could have been in the right hands.

the new album is looking very interesting from the list of those involved that we know of - to bring Solveig and Orbit together with Free School, Minaj and M.I.A. does hint at something quite visionary. i have to say i love the title of the single too, there's something quite Emmy / 'Madonna' about it. i'm imagining rollerblading in the park on a summer morning, 1982 about it (which would be amazing).

I suspect it's LiveNation pushing the collabs on her which is ridiculous. It's the first Madonna single in three years, it will receive attention for that alone.

The Hard Candy era won't feature in Madonna's history. A bit like Bedtime Stories. When you watch timeline shows about her career, they skip from the Erotica backlash to Ray Of Light with a quick mention of Evita. If you ask Joe Public to name a recent Madonna song, 9/10 would cite Hung Up, not 4 Minutes.

Rumoured lyrics:
QUOTE
As a few (not always accurate) parts of the “Give Me All Your Love” lyrics have leaked, we, at Madonnarama, decided to finally reveal the complete lyrics of Madonna’s lead single.
According to our source, these aren’t from the final version, but from the demo version that only includes Madonna and the backing vocals.

Keep in mind that this is one of the fun, radio friendly tracks and absolutely perfect for the Super Bowl. The overall album contains much more deeper and personal lyrics.

L-U-V Madonna
Y-O-U You wanna
I see you coming and I don’t wanna know your name
L-U-V Madonna
I see you coming and you’re gonna have to change the game
Y-O-U You wanna
Would you like to try?
Give me a reason why
Give me all that you got
Maybe you’ll do fine
As long as you don’t lie to me
And pretend to be what you’re not

(Chorus)
Don’t play the stupid game
Cause I’m a different kind of girl
Every record sounds the same
You’ve got to step into my world
Give me all your love and give me your love
Give me all your love today
Give me all your love and give me your love
Let’s forget about time
And dance our lives away

L-U-V Madonna
Y-O-U You wanna
Keep trying don’t give up, it’s if you want it bad enough
L-U-V Madonna
It’s right in front of you, now tell me what you’re thinking of
Y-O-U You wanna
In another place, at a different time
You can be my lucky star
We can drink some wine
Burgundy is fine
Let’s drink the bottle every drop

(Chorus)
Don’t play the stupid game
Cause I’m a different kind of girl
Every record sounds the same
You’ve got to step into my world
Give me all your love and give me your love
Give me all your love today
Give me all your love and give me your love
Let’s forget about time
And dance our lives away

(Bridge)
You have all the L-U-V
I gave you everything you need
Now it’s up to Y-O-U
Are you the one, shall we proceed?
M-A-D Don’t make me
L-U-V It’s time for
Y-O-U It’s up to
L-U-V I want your

(Chorus)
Don’t play the stupid game
Cause I’m a different kind of girl
Every record sounds the same
You’ve got to step into my world
Give me all your love and give me your love
Give me all your love today
Give me all your love and give me your love
Let’s forget about time
And dance our lives away

I loved Hard Candy. Certainly won't be skipped over by me.

Bedtime Stories is often overlooked in this country because it didn't produce any major hit singles. Hard Candy had 2 top 2 singles and 4 minutes featured a major "current" artist.

Although I do get your point rugbypeach, Even though Bedtime Stories had Take A Bow on it which was a massive hit in America it does get overlooked in all Madonna historical pieces but I think thats more to do with Madonna having such a massive career and back catalogue that it isn't possible to be covered at once.

Love the title 'MDNA', glad they didn't go with 'LUV'.

I heard the single is out on the 15th but it's so close and there is no video or final version yet!
I need solid dates!

I agree, though like Gaga's interviews it was almost ruined by the over-zealous fans in the audience shouting and cheering every 5 seconds mad.gif

Based on the demo I really like the song too, surprisingly light and upbeat.

I totally agree. I recorded it and watched it yesterday but prior to this I'd heard bitchy comments on other forums about how arrogant she seemed, disinterested, making comments about only in it for the money etc and then they moved on to how she looked but all of the above was totally out of context.

She never comes across totally as a loveable person but she was fine in this interview, a lot of the above can be put down to being American and not getting some of the British humour.

Plus she confirmed a new tour, can't wait!

I'm really looking forward to hearing this new song, a new Madonna single and album is always a huuuuge deal! There's no way she needs to get MIA or Nicki Minaj on it though, Madonna can do it herself, let's be honest. As with jumping on the Timbaland/Timberlake band wagon last time around, collaborating with these two, however amazing the song is, just seems beneath her to me.

I have to say Hard Candy was horrendous as an album overall, and the song she did for W.E., Masterpiece, is absolutely horrendous. I would actually go as far to say I find it unlistenable.

As for interviews, they're not her strong point... I think she should stick to live performances really. I find Madonna the most irritating singer on a personal level (not that I know her, of course, but you know what I mean!) around that I consider myself a fan of. I mean, I LOVE so much of her music, from all stages of her career... Borderline, Live To Tell, Crazy For You, Like A Prayer, Vogue, Deeper and Deeper, Ray of Light, Frozen and Hung Up are some of the best pop songs of all time. But as an individual she grates on me so much, for so many reasons. I recently watched In Bed With Madonna for the first time, I actually turned it off as I couldn't bear to watch any more of it (although, of course, the live performances were great!)
