So before my threads gets deleted I might as well put this here so I don't have to write it again.
See Mikes this is called compromising, it's what decent people wihtout a power complex do.

This confirms my fears that this is gonna be an Uncharted rip off, which would be fine in general cause Uncharted is an awesome game but when I play TR I wanna play TR not Uncharted.
I was actually hoping they would put in some references to the former games so to make this somewhat canon but given that they even changed the logo it seems they are cutting all ties.
I hate the new logo.
If you take a way that this is a TR game the trailer looks actually not that bad. I was surprised to see SE beinng involved and there is something very distinguishly Japanese about the game though maybe that's just Lara being an Emo.
I'll keep an eye on it and am sure they get a decent game out of it but if it will be a proper Tomb Raider, I doubt it. I don't get the feel from the Trailer at all.

Also, if there's any touches or fan service references to the other games then I'm sure they will be further in and not just from a trailer... Also, it's set before, so I don't know how many references you would like.

I find that rather strange, though maybe that is so they can crack the Japanese market.
I agree of course references would be in the game naturally but it just seems like they went completely off. Not just the logo but the whole tone and feel to it.
We shall see.
The game also doesn't actually play before all others, well sorta but we had Laras origin story like 4 or 5 times already included and they change it every single time. Which is especially annoying given that in the last trilogy it was a big part of the storyline.

Really enjoyed Anniversary & Legend on PS2 (Decided against Underworld due to all the bad reviews of the PS2 port) I must say I already miss Keeley Hawes voice but the new girl does sound good.

Underworld wasn't too bad on the PS2. sometimes her motion was a little freaky but i quite enjoyed it!

first re-booted because of the CD version now again?! why does it need re-booting for this plot? can't they just have a mature Lara doing it instead?

Visually it looks outstanding but I'm not convinced by the voice acting or script on display in the trailer. That's just an instant reaction. We'll see how things progress.

I HATE game trailers like this which is just cgi footage and that's it.

Just show us some ingame footage damn it. Only then do I get excited about a game when I see new game mechanics, how it looks ingame, what I'll be doing etc.

So yeah, I don't really care for this yet until I see someone playing it. Hopefully this will happen at E3.

It's all well and good making a pretty CG teaser, SE, but it means nothing really. The trailer for Underworld made he game look epic and we know how that turned out..

I'm reserving judgment until I see actual gameplay. Also not keen on the new Lara voice actress. I know they couldn't realistically keep Keeley Hawes on since this is a younger Lara but if only they could have found someone of her caliber. Who knows, perhaps this one will be better in the actual game.

Oh really? Maybe I will have to track down a copy then. I guess it's likely to be cheap now.

Yeah I have the previous two but have left Underworld due to the bad reviews. I was just going by what daikaioshin said. I did hear that the PS2 had tonnes cut out of it as well but I have always wondered how the trilogy ends.

Well... i enjoyed it. i liked the plot, the gameplay and the graphics looked fine to me. I guess it's all a matter of taste.
