QUOTE(Astron @ Apr 29 2012, 06:44) *

You were still playing. blink.gif

I only get about two or three hours a week when I can play without pissing anybody off, so it was always going to take ages, but then things got in the way so I stopped for a while.

Couple of final thoughts: the final boss was surprisingly easy for saying he was meant to be this world destroyingly powerful demon, I expected to need several goes at it but did it second time round. I'm slightly annoyed that I figured out the whole Impa scenario earlier as it reduced the impact a bit. And I felt a little bit upset.gif at Fi's final speech, even though I never really warmed to her as a guide the way I did Midna.

Oh, and it's also a little annoying that you have to wipe your game in order to save that you've finished.

To be fair I did use a guardian potion for some of it the second time round so that will have helped a bit.

So after a diversion to save the galaxy as another hero, and solve crime in 40s LA, I returned to Skyward Sword this week to bring it to a close.

I've literally just taken down the final boss - the easiest boss in the game, which is irritating as I expected a long drawn out arm ache inducing final showdown... Minus this, however, such a great game. Zelda games always deliver and SS is definitely top 3.

Lanayru desert is one of my favourite Zelda locations ever. The music, the mines, the timeshift idea and ROBOTS. biggrin.gif

Really? Took me less than ten minutes.

I just took a boosted heart potion and a boosted guardian potion with me. (inc. 4 fairies - didn't use any of them though lol_2.gif )

I can't remember what it was, there was a block move or something I didn't do right and I didn't have the guardian potion at first.
My shield also broke and then it took a long time to make a new one (had the perfect one).
Good game though, dunno about top 3 of all Zelda games but up there.

Your shield broke? you mean you didn't have the Goddess shield?

I did but that's not unbreakable. It pretty much is with normal enemies but the final boss managed to break it.

I know, but it's pretty tough... must have been blocking often.

It's all about angling your sword strikes to avoid the blocking opponent.
Next stage is all about Thunder skyward strikes. biggrin.gif

I've just discovered this and this thread seemed to be the appropriate place to share it.

In their own words:
QUOTE
The Zelda Project is a group of friends who seek to bring to life the characters, settings, and overall feel of Ocarina of Time through photography and film.

In my words: Oooooh, pretty pictures!

The new guy they've got to be Link is hot too. biggrin.gif

More pictures here.

Wow I feel like such a geek but these photos made me smile so much. They are absolutely beautiful and everything is perfect. I can't wait to see more. It just makes me want a bloody movie of Ocarina of Time.
