VA for video games is getting much higher profile.

Vala from SG1 or Aeryn from FS doing Dragons Age and Uncharted. JANEWAY in DA!

And is that elven witch in DA2 played by the welsh girl from Torchwood?

I have geek squees playing these games lol_2.gif

Nice to see Legion is there.

I really hope the decisions in ME2 properly affect what happens in ME3 and are not just mentioned on news vids. sad.gif

I'm guessing / hoping / squeeing that Legion will be the 'Shepard' of the Geth and unite them into joining the galactic community in taking on the Reapers.

Okay moar details:

Locations:

New York, London, Mars, a Quarian 'moon' and the Salarian home world.

Space combat has not been ruled out and there will be new vehicles, a new planet scanning method and a new combat class. The Heave Melee will use more physical combat techniques.

All from a translation of a spanish article so we shall see how true it all is.

Garrus returns too.... unless you let him die during the Omega Relay mission...

This is what I've found -

Characters:

The new characters list show new confirmed squad mates as below:

-Tali: Has unfinished business with Shepard.
-Jack: Had a character redesign. Was a popular romance option.

Confirmed Part of Squad:
-Liara
-Garrus
-Kaiden/Ashley (Has achieved Spectre status)
-James Sanders

Present:
-Admiral Anderson
-EDI
-Joker
-The Illusive Man
-Mordin (The plot dictates that he stays close to Shepard)
-Legion
(And, from Game Informer earlier, Wrex)

Locations:

Confirmed Locations:

-Salarian Homeworld
-Quarian Homeworld Rannoch (The Geth Occupied One)
-Mars (A human-mining operation)
-A human mega city that formed when Vancouver and Seattle merged.
Add: That’s where you’ll spend your time on Earth. So not London or New York like previously mentioned. Describes the planet: ‘It’s curved, futuristic buildings bathe in beautiful light as the sea laps into the waterfront and docks.’ They also saw the aftermath in which the Reapers decimate it.

Additional Details- Combat and Plot Info

Heavy Melee Attacks

-Class based one hit kill melee move.
-There is a new charged-up melee attack where Shepard uses his Omni-Tool to inflicting a big burning hit.

Additional Details:

-Casey Hudson says, the game will have some epic moments, as well as ‘smaller, more personal moments’ that exceeds the previous 2 games. The player will start realising things from Shepard’s personal life. He will have to deal with the consequences of the sacrifices he’s had to make.
-Obvious: Your choices will all have an impact in ME 3 such as the genophage, the collector base, your LI choices etc.
-New enemy type: The Cannibal. Part Batarian, part Human and part Reaper. Consumes other enemies in combat to gain strength.
-The Turret that Engineers can use won’t kill enemies, but distract them.
-Gunfights are quicker and more deadly (confirmation).
-Visually it’s tapping the heels of games such as Killzone 3 and Crysis 2, with 6 months development time left.
-The Rachni decision may haunt you in ME 3.
-Character customisation will be as extensive as ever.
-The action, rather than the all-linear affair of ME 2, will be more along the lines of Uncharted.
-New Cerberus troops are called Phantoms and Assassins.
-Shepard faces full-on bosses in the game’s story. Some are really huge. One part, you have to lure a Reaper up to a Thresher Maw so they can duke it out.
-”Many of the core story levels are built around the largest, most dramatic moments in the galaxy.”
-The Mass Effect series has sold over 7 million copies.

HMMMMMMMMM. is all.

I'm taking everything I read with a pinch of salt these days..unless it's on Gameinformer etc etc or in a magazine.. That site looks a bit dodgy. lol_2.gif

Look at the SR-2 thing, I think it's been said in interviews that the Alliance strip the SR-2 for it's tech...

Mm, I didn't see that page. Yes, I'm sure the ship won't stay the same. EDI is definitely back. Tricia Helfer posted a tweet that she had finished recording her first session for ME3.

This is likely to be a silly question but can I get away not playing this series before if I go straight for Mass Effect 3?

Mikes is gonna go crazy! lol_2.gif

I would play them all in order - if you do go for ME3 first, you'll probably spoil the first two if you ever wanted to play them. And I'm sure you will after playing ME3 as the story/universe is just fantastic.

You can ... They have designed an interactive element at the beginning to bring you up to speed...

However... This is like watching Return of the Jedi first.... You just.. Wouldn't...

One and Two can be bought cheaply enough now and you will need about 80-120 hours spare to do both.

Are you being serious?! I can tolerate a game being 20 hours tops (like red dead redemption) but anything more than that, I just don't have the time anymore.

Well, you could just whazz through the main story in about 15 hours for ME1 and 20 hours for ME2. ME1 is 360/PC only.

I kinda thought Mikes might have been exaggorating a bit which thankfully Ic1 has cleared up for me smile.gif

I should really give these games a go. I think I'm in the exact same situation as you Astro, I'm perfectly aware of how amazing they're supposed to be, I've just never found the right time or opportunity to buy the first one. (rubbish excuse I know, shut up!)
