I guess so.. If you've played Arrival DLC then at some point, Shepard will have to return to Alliance HQ.

There's going to be a Mass Effect anime next year!!!

Nope Mikes I haven't played any of the DLC.

My copy of ME2 was second hand so my Cerberus ID code thing was already used & wouldn't let me register.
I was so keen to import my Shepard & get goin I just skipped it unsure.gif I seem to remember a quick google search not sounding very positive about my chances of sorting it out either....

I take it I'm missing out?

Okay I looked into this franchise now after listening to mikes going on about it for ages.
No thanks!
So they do a trilogy but only publish two of the games on PS3? Where is the point in that? Well fuck you then. shaky.gif
Looks stunning though.

BECAUSE, my dear Astron, the first game was tied up in Microsoft exclusivity until bioWare was bought by EA.

The PS3 version of 2 comes with an interactive prequel comic to set up the story.

Get your facts correct before "fucking" anyone babes. bleh.gif

The DLC is worth it!!! I think you can buy Cerberus I.D on the store!!

Yeah I know all that mikes but that doesn't change the fact the PS3 will only see two parts of a trilogy.
Sorry if that slightly pisses me off. Don't tell me you'd be happy if the tables were turned.
You are such a fanboy laugh.gif (in a good way of course)

Yeah, but, there's no point in letting the fact that a legal requirement meant that you miss out on one game get to you.

The second is stunning, and the comic fills in the blanks.. The third will be just as good - if not better, so by being pissed off, at something you can't control, well, it's daft, and also, you're missing out on a spectacular gaming experience!!!

Plus the PS3 one comes with most of the DLC.. lol

You're missing out, I promise you.
I mean, come on, this is the game franchise that knocked Nintendo off my "top fave game franchises" top spot!!!

oooh2.gifo
DID NOT NOW THAT....

I dunno it looks amazing I admit but I wouldn't be happy with not having the first game.
I'm a compulsive collector (not kidding) if I can't have it all I'd rather have it not at all.
I guess I stick with Dragon Age, where I haven't played most of it yet anyway.

Astron am I being stupid if I ask why you don't just buy the games for the PC? I'm assuming you are on one to do all this fmf-ing smile.gif

You do really want the first one- one of the biggest hooks for me is the ability to import your character through the sequels- BUT like Mikes said, the games are great anyway & you'd only be cuttin your nose off to spite your face...

lol You're not being stupid but I don't play PC Games, never have.
I have two current consoles and plenty of old ones. That takes enough time and money as it is. Plus I'm not a very techno person, constantly upgrading my PC, downloading patches, installing shit and all would go straight over my head. laugh.gif
You probably right about ME but as I said I have this thing with collecting stuff and also with symetry, cotrolling issues and perfectionism.
Just me.
Maybe there will be a complete trilogy package at some point, I mean aren't those exclusivity deals usually temporary?

According to Gameinformer, BioWare's third and final sci-fi instalment kicks off with Shepard on Earth, facing trial for the events that occurred during the recently released Arrival DLC for Mass Effect 2.

In the middle of the trial, the Reapers invade, and it all kicks off. Mass Effect 3's prologue involves Shepard's escape to the Normandy, and subsequent mission to yet again gather allies to battle the Reaper troops.

Confirmed squadmates from the GI article include Liara, Ashley/Kaiden, Garrus (if he's alive) and a man called James Sanders, who we're not familiar with. Wrex, Mordin, Legion, and Anderson will also appear in the game (if they're alive), but aren't confirmed as squadmates.

Mass Effect 3's set to include numerous endings, BioWare's confirmed, and just like the last game who you have in your squad and which allies you recruit will have a drastic effect on which ending you get.

The Illusive Man also plays a prominent role in the third game, and Cerberus is out to kill Shepard for reasons unknown, says GI.

In the gameplay department, RPG elements are being beefed up for the third game, says BioWare, offering players more freedom with character skills. Skill trees are said to be larger, and powers will evolve several times instead of just once, offering players even more freedom.

Weapons are similar to those in Mass Effect 2, except mods make a return, allowing you to swap out different parts such as barrels, scopes, and so on, which effect both the weapon's combat performance and appearance.

All classes can wield all weapons unhindered now, but will have limited slots to carry them. For example, only the Soldier can carry all weapons at once.

Finally, for those who've missed out on the series so far (shame on you) GI says Mass Effect 3 will feature a "previously on Mass Effect" comic to make decisions from scratch.

James Sanders could be a relative of Kahlee Sanders from the novels.

I'm wondering why the Illusive Man now wants Shepard dead...

Well.. I have a theory about that... In the 3rd novel Cerberus are messing about with Reaper tech... It's quite possible he has become indoctrinated.

Hmmm, could be. But that is a bit of a cop out as they've already used that excuse for Amanda Kenyon. wink.gif I think perhaps the Illusive Man doesn't want the Reapers destroyed - he wants to make them subservient.
