QUOTE(daikaioshin @ Jan 19 2011, 22:30) QUOTE(Astron @ Jan 19 2011, 20:08) QUOTE(Kelly-Ann-xxx @ Jan 19 2011, 21:41) Hows Bane different in the comics compared that horrible film?
He is the complete opposite actually. He is very intelligent and one of Batsys most dangerous enemies. He once managed to break his back after which Batman was paralyzed and had to give up his job (to a new Batman which then went a bit mental and had to be stopped by a miraculously recovered Bruce Wayne...) He also shagged Talia, Rhas alGhu'ls daughter and Batmans (despite public believe) one true love. i could kiss you! nice to know someone else appreciates how different they made Bane in that film. You're making me blush.

QUOTE(mikes @ Jan 19 2011, 20:13) QUOTE(Modesty @ Jan 19 2011, 19:56) I thought Halle Berry's Catwoman was a lot better than Michelle Pfeiffers.
Although the film was shite, Berry was much more convincing (to me) as a conflicted character capable of really bad or really good behaviour and not caring either way. Much like your average cat , in fact.
LEAVE RIGHT NOW. Now. I'm a bit.. hmm about Anne... I've only seen her in shite teeny, fashion, chick flick crap.. Not sure she can hold the gravitas, sexuality and mystique of Catwoman. That would probably be The Devil Wears Prada you're referring to. You obviously didn't see her Oscar nominated performance in Rachel Getting Married. She was also in Alice In Wonderland and can currently be seen in Love and Other Drugs. None of which were "shite teeny, fashion, chick flick crap".

Sounds like she played the same character in each one. I heard nothing good about Alice. She STILL doesn't have that vibe. She just doesn't.

QUOTE(angelfan @ Jan 19 2011, 21:45) Catwoman isn't mentioned in the WB press release, but with Nolan openly admitting that this is the end of his Bat-tale, it's hard to imagine that Kyle won't become Catwoman at some point in the film.
I imagine she'll be worked in somehow. I do trust in Nolan's ability to see this through, but while Ledger had good references for playing the Joker (the more serious, psychotic edge that comes over in the comics) when taking on a role Jack Nicholson had supposedly done iconicly, Pfeiffer's catwoman is that bang on that it's going to be difficult to escape a negative comparison; there's also very little worthwhile to take from the comics to expand the character. Of course Pfeiffer's catwoman wouldn't work in Nolan's batverse (or whatever the correct term is) so it'll be interesting to see how they handle Hathaway's entry. Tom Hardy as Bane? Meh. Bane I was never that interested in, and I got sick of having arguments with CB geeks who always refer to the back-breaking incident as the source of ultimate badassness. Hardy's a safe pair of hands though and I'm looking forward to seeing him in it.

Not as standout at Michelle Williams but very good all the same.
