So I am planning on selling my iPad for a couple of reasons. I have a potential buyer and he is aware of the concerns I'm going to mention in this post.

I went to NYC back in April for a trip after iPad had been launched. I wanted to look at it and thought it was cool. I wasn't going to buy it, but then decided on impulse to get it.

Now I find that I like it, but since I am on my work and home computers so much I don't use the iPad that much at all. So that coupled with the fact that I need money for bills has compelled me to decide to sell it.

Has anyone had experience selling such an item to a friend or coworker?

One of the things I am concerned about is that the since the iPad is registered to me (I think), if I sell it, what will Apple do, if anything?

Any help appreciated. The person who is interested has already written a check but is on the fence; he will probably make a decision by Tuesday next week. So any help sooner rather than later is great.

Thanks,

Have you checked listings to see what the going rate is for a second hand item ...like on Ebay for example so you know you are getting a good price for it .

Apart from the "Apple" thing you mention I'm not sure what the problem is . You own it ,you want to sell it ??

With regard to Apple is any warranty ( guarantee) transferable to the new owner ?

I'm not familiar with an iPad but do you have any contract for Data Transfer with any Network that the sale might affect .?

Make sure that any "personal" info on the iPad is removed completely before you hand it over .
