Love, Wedding, Marrriage - It is not good. The plot is flawed and extremely poor. The acting is annoying and foolish. It simply goes nowhere.

Kellan Lutz spends a lot of time shirtless. It is the ONLY redeeming feature.

Rio - Funny, vibrant, celebratory and entertaining. Its a simple plot but its told well, it could be ironed out further but generally its pretty good. The characters are charming, the music is performed great. Yeah, I really liked it.

The Love Bug Rally

Super Bug, Super Agent

^Both English profiles of ancient wink.gif (70s) German movies about a volkswagen beetle, clearly inspired by the Herbie movies. I watched at least one of the five made as a kid in the cinema and recently found them in a dvd boxset.

Transformers Dark of the Moon - It was a slog. Some of the effects looked astonishing. But it didn't really need too be that long. It seemed a waste of a reasonably good cast. It perhaps went a little over the top with the comedic elements.

It was pretty meh.

As well as watching the awful "Devil" last night, I also watched a film called "Dread" which was better, but not by much.

It's basically about some college kids who decide to make a documentary all about fear, what we fear and why etc

anyway, one of the guys takes it too far and basically turns into a psychopath and starts to use peoples fears against them so he can terrorise them. There's some pretty neat and unique and grim ideas towards the end, but it gets pretty ridiculous and outlandish quite quickly and the characters start to act really stupidly. It has a refreshingly bleak ending though.

Piranha 3DD

* Hilariously bad, given that it's a sequel, it's not as 'original' as the first one, but the cast is better *

I started watching an anime show called Junjo Romantica on Netflix.
It's about 3 gay couples who spent a large part of their life being in love with someone but then have to settle eventually for someone else cause their love is not returned.
At least that's the case with the first two couples the third one hasn't been introduced yet.

The main couple consist of Misaki (17) and Akihiko (28):
Akihiko has been in love with Misakis older brother Takahiro for the last 10 years who is straight though and unaware of that. He is supposed to tutor Misaki but instead rapes him and then starts to sexually harass him any given chance. When Misaki moves in with Akihiko (due his brother marrying and moving away) he starts holding him captive when he is supposed to meet his friends and gets violent when Misaki dares talking to other people.
Obviously they fall madly in love with each other eventually.

The second couple is Hiroki (29) and Nawaki (25)
Hiroki is a friend of Akihiko and they used to have an affair in the past, were he would blindfold Akihiko during sex so he can pretend Hiroki was actually Takahiro.
One day he is being dragged away and filled up with booze by a stranger - Nawaki.
Nawaki then steals his keys to show up un-announced at any point in his flat to watch Hiroki sleep or sometimes to molest him while he is sleeping or sometimes to make breakfast.
When Nawaki confesses his love to Hiroki he kicks him out cause he is not over Akihiko yet. He starts stalking Nawaki nonetheless watching him in disguise, getting jealous when he seems flirty with school girls.
They start shagging cause Hiroki finds that Nawakis hands feel just like Akihikos.
Obviously they fall madly in love with each other eventually.

Aren't different cultures fun? Can't wait for couple number three. laugh.gif

Just watched Hanna which was surprisingly weird and cool with a great soundtrack by the Chemical Brothers especially loving the song The Devil's in the Details.
Good movie.

I'm watching the Young Victoria again.

Its a beautifully shot and interesting film which is solidly acted thoroughout with Emily Blunt leading the cast with beautiful and vivacious rigour.

I watched Cosmopolis last night, absolute pile of shit. Probably the most perfect dictionary definition of the word pretentious. The characters just talk SO MUCH.

The Guardian make the sun shine out of Cosmopolis' arse.

However I love the name Cosmopolis.

Red Lights,

really slow beginning, gets interesting again, raises a few good ideas which never really gets explored, then has a really terrible finale ruined by a lame twist.

Watched the newest Muppets movie last night, thought it was pretty good.

Anytime there was a sad muppet I just wanted to give it a hug.
