Finished it. Fun game. Well implemented "story", such as it is. Sorta the gaming equivalent of a good novella. They added a lot to Glados without taking anything away.

Wheatley grated on me, a little, but maybe that's because I'm not crazy about Merchant.

I'm off to listen to the ending opera again.

Just this moment finished it, i thought it was an amazing game, I'm even going to go so far and say its my current "Game of the year"

Im not usually a fan of puzzle games but this one had me hooked. Glado's is now one of my favorite characters. Her song at the end was full on amazing.
The only negative i can think of at the moment is that the puzzles near the end where a bit boring, i preferred using the gels than the gravity tube thingys. I think the puzzles became easier as the game came to a close.

I can't believe I've only just found out Wheatly was voiced by Stephen Merchant. I thought Wheatley was Danny Wallace, the guy who voices Shaun Hastings in Assassins creed 2 and brotherhood.

Maybe i should now actually go and play the first portal? unsure.gif

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE.

I don't get how you can play the continuation of a story after not having played the first part... 2 doesn't even have an interactive comic or anything to fill you in on the events of 1.

Portal 2 and Bulletstorm are up there for my game of the year so far, along with the Mii Plaza Adventure game on 3DS, it is just sublime for a built in app, and street fighter 4 3D edition.....

This will change come November when Mass 3 comes out however.

As for my game of the year so far, hmm thats a toughie. I'm sure I did play one that was amazing, but my mind has gone blank. Obviously THAT amazing then lol_2.gif

It isn't GotY for me. That's Killzone 3 so far. I did enjoy Portal 2 but I started to find the puzzles just getting in the way of my progressing the story. If it had gone on any longer, I would have got fed up.

I watched my old housemate play the first so i had a gist of what that story was about. I knew who Glado's was anyway bleh.gif

Ive only just recently bought a decent enough PC to play games on and the first portal hasn't been remade for ps3..i don't think.

What did you play Portal 2 on then, Kelly-Ann?

(They did do The Orange Box for PS3, too but I'd play it on PC if you can.)
