I'm still yet to come across any puzzles to stump me proper, but I'm still not really that far into it. My friend got his copy today anyway so I'm going to be neglecting the single player for a while whilst we do the co-op side of things.

I've just reached Chapter 6 so I'm dreading the puzzles that are coming my way.

Chapter five was very exciting stuff though. This game keeps getting better and better.

Why are we the only three playing this game upset.gif

I found the first one completely underwhelming tbh.

I just like the fact it gave us the companion cube and the still alive song.

Loving this game. Only on chapter 4 but great game so far. I never played Portal1 even though I have it. Must dig it out.

How can you play a sequel that follows directly on from the first game???

None of these puzzles are taxing me.... I've just got the achievement associated with the white stuff.. That is where I am and I am going out now.

I've finished it biggrin.gif it was a tremendous game all the way to the end. I think I caved once and looked at Gamefaqs for a puzzle in Chapter 8 which was really doing my nut in.

Only 20g though for completing it? Pah. At least my avatar has a companion cube now though cool.gif

To be fair thanks to solving all the puzzles in the co-op mode, the single player became a lot easier. Btw, you get 100g for completing the co-op if you're into that kind of thing. Just make sure you play it with someone you're talking to on the headset. Trying to play that with a non speaking stranger would be worse than death.

If you've done the bits with the conversion (white) gel then you're past what I got stuck on.

Beginning of chapter six - I couldn't find the tile to place the portal in order to enter the 1950s Aperture facility.

Some other point in chapter six - where you have to run along a path of propulsion gel to gain speed which translates into height when you exit so you can press a button suspended from the ceiling.

I basically forgot the Portal 1 mantra - Speedy thing goes in, speedy thing goes out - but I would never have guessed to use horizontal speed to gain vertical height. D'oh!

Its usually the easy challenges i get stuck on because i over think and assume their meant to be harder than they actually are.

I think the first challenge i had problems with was one in chapter 4. You had to use blocks to reflect two lazer beams into three pods to open a door. It was possibly challenge 20.

The last challenge which took me a while was the first time you had to use the orange speed gel followed by having to then use blue gel to jump up to press a button once you sped up some ramp.

I refuse to cheat with games like this.

I'm currently about half way through (chapter 7)

One of my favourite things about Portal is that you have to have a slight understanding of gravity and motion. It's like doing science in a game, you monsters.
