Final Fantasy. Options

How you everone rank the final fantasys in order of amazingness?
mine would go (from the one's that i have played)
Best:
1.Final Fantasy VII- It really is as good as people say and the end of disc one always makes me cry and nothing beats the amazingness that is YUFFIE!!! SHE'S THE BEST!
2.Final Fantsay IX- my first final fantasy and i adore it because its so cute and endearing, vivi was a major highlight of the game.
3.Final Fantasy X- Soo much fun and a lot more magical than the others in a wierd way. Rikku was a great character and khimari aswell.
4.Final Fantasy VIII- At the start i got bored by the tutorial and i played it a few years later and realised it is amazing, squall is pretty fit too and rinoa is such an amazing girl.
5.Final Fantasy VI- I find Terra one of the best characters ever and Kefka is probably the best villan ever, but due to the graphics its hard to get addicted.
6.Final Fantasy II- It is really good but very hard, firion is a cool guy.
7.Final Fantasy XII- Major dissapointment, i expected characters with more personality but all we get is the twat vaan.
However they are all amazing games. (Oh has anyone played Dissidia?)

I think you should give some reasons for your chart otherwise it's just a list and might get closed (or are lists outside the view section allowed? )

Anyway:

6) FF I:Obviously outdated by now but when I played it a couple of years ago I was surprised how much fun it was and encouraging to keep playing.

5) FF XII: The huge disappointment par excellence. Boring storyline and characters. Sidequests were far more enjoyable then the main one.

4) FF IX: I loved it! So cute and set in a medie val european fantasy world. What more do you want?Every character is absolutely lovable. Vivi rulz!

3) FFVII: Great Game. Deserves to be a classic, but still I wouldn't say it's the best game ever, as so many do. Sephiroth killing Airith = most shocking moment in VG history.

2) FFX: I love love love this game (and for that matters it's sequel) The asian inspired world is amazing and overall the jump into 3D was more than succesful. Auron is just too cool and how funny is Wakka? His voice is just genius. He rivals Vivi to be my favourite FF character . I like the very dark storyline and the constant thread of death in the air as well. The use of Bestia is the best of all FFs.
Shiva, my favourite Bestia, looks just

1) FFVIII: The first FF I played properly from beginning to end. I know every inch of that world and even the tiniest secret by heart. The game made me love the rpg genre and I played it multiple times and just thinking about it makes me wanna play it again. For some reason my favourite scene is were Edea walks through the door without opening it? It just looks really cool.

I was playing FF VII today and got to the forbidde city and before i knew i was crying

1) Final Fantasy X - best use of summons and i liked the whole religion thing woven into the story

2) Final Fantasy VII - love it because it is traditional, the graphics are truly appalling compared to todays standards. I've been spoilt by SE's excellent graphics in the later FFs...

3) Final Fantasy VIII - Edea is the best character...

4) Final Fantasy X-2 - Story is poop but love the dresspheres and the battle system

5) Final Fantasy XII - Graphics are 10/10, enjoyed the battles towards the start but the gambits took the fun away, plus the story fizzles out way too quickly.



Final Fantasy IX isn't in my list. I just really don't like it.

1. FFVII- simply put the best game of all time. Innovative battle system, engaging story, likeable interesting characters, the best villain ever and the saddest death scene.

2. FFIX- I liked the more medie val theme here, as well as the character design and story. Nice homages to previous games in the series. The battle system was its only drawback.

3. FFVIII- Squall was pretty unlikeable, Rinoa was annoying and drawing was the effing worst thing ever. But the world map and graphics were pretty awesome, and the storyline made sense and flowed well. Also: Quistis.

4. FFX-2: I will probably be shot for this but I enjoyed the battle system SO MUCH in this game, I like how it also tied up loose ends and I liked the idea of doing different missions at different times.

5. FFVI- Awesome storyline- Kefka is amazing and Celes is a hot bitch.

6. FFX- Nice battle system, story and gameplay. However: Tidus, Yuna et al were AWFUL VOICE ACTORS. And no real world map= fail.

7. Anything else

100000. FFXII- AWFUL. Ok, the battle system was nice, and theoretically the free romaning environment was a good thing but. GOD. How BADLY EXECUTED. None of the characters bar Balthier were fleshed out AT ALL, the storyline was UTTER GARBAGE and it didn't have any of the usual ff spark to it. I detest it.

Haha, they should have put an older member of SeeD in the main party, but in FFIX they had a 6 year old and an 8 year old

Wheh i used to play the games in front of my dad it felt uncomfortable seeing shiva come up in her (no) clothes. I do love FFIX's carbuncle ruby light BAM!

I find it kinda funny that this thread was made when we already had a perfectly good Final Fantasy thread :P:P

I'm rather enjoying the PSP Final fantasies right now, Crisis Core and Dissidia are so very good

Just quit FFXI coz I can't be arsed with it right now, definitely jumping on FF14 when it comes out, looking forward to FF13 too.

Also, gotta love FF7 on the psp
