That's annoying that they aren't on the disc... I might get the GOTY version, but it all depends on price.. TBH.. from what I have played, the main game seems massive anyway, and, as much as I enjoy extending games, sometimes I think that it's just unnecessary.. I would rather have XYZ mission, weapon, character in the bloody game from the start!!! But I understand that DLC and micro transactions = £££££$$$YYY€€€€€ for the industry.

I don't mind if DLC is downloadable extra content, i.e. not on the fuckin' game disc at release - for which you then have the privilege of paying to unlock existing content a few weeks later. mad.gif Yes, I'm looking at you, BioShock 2.

EDIT: It is possible to remaster the discs as demonstrated by Ubisoft who are re-releasing Assassin's Creed II on Platinum/Classics with the DLC actually on the disc. Previously in the "Game of the Year" edition they had code vouchers. So who knows, maybe when Borderlands goes to Platinum/Classics (which it surely must do as it's sold more than the minimum required copies) it will get a disc remaster.

totally sux that it isnt on the disc. And abit of a cop out.

Just the same game with DL codes for the extras, you would think it would all fit on a bluray and not pack out the PS3 hard drive

I just bought the normal disc but like mikes said the main game is huge I'm not really interested in the DLC.

I've got into it a bit more since I appear to have got better with some good weapons, and thanks to Chrizs lol

Also when you complete the game there's a play through 2 where everything is harder and you can play through 2 on all the DLC.

The new Clap Trap DLC looks immense.

Claptrap is coming on October 12th or something like that.

The game is to get a patch for all three platforms making a level increase to 69 available to everyone for free. The main campaign will be rebalanced accordingly.

You'll be getting the Xbox version, no doubt ?? I'm guessing Xbox and PS3 versions aren't compatible ??? I.e. IF I get the PS3 version, I cannot play against or with someone who owns the identical game but on Xbox ???

That will never happen, I'm afraid. Even if a developer wanted it to. Xbox Live is closed and controlled by Microsoft so unless Sony licence the service (highly doubtful) it's a no-go. Some games have Xbox<>PC and PS3<>PC but not Xbox<>PS3.

Is there something you're not telling us, Tiuri? Have you bought a 360 now? lol_2.gif

Hehehe... as we get closer to Kinect launch, I'm kind of tempted by it. Even though I've said I was firmly in the PlayStation Move camp, I've no interest in it and we're only four days from launch... I'm really thinking that I want a fresh, new gaming experience with new types of gameplay instead of just the same old things with motion controls added on. I dunno. We'll see nearer Kinect launch but I'm not buying any Move stuff until after then at least.

Back on topic, it's probably likely I'll go for Borderlands GotY on Xbox 360, too. What with so many things going on in Xbox land - updated dashboard, new voice codec for clearer communications, a more comfortable controller and the prospect of a Kinect revolution ( rolleyes.gif ), my PS3 ain't getting no love lately. paperbag1.gif

EDIT: I've officially declared my PC gaming days over as of today which has probably contributed to this change of heart. I said I would never buy another gaming PC and my laptop just doesn't cut it anymore. Tried playing Mass Effect and it was all over the place. sad.gif

Sorry. Now I've uninstalled Steam, I want the best gaming experience for me. And that's on the 360. It suits my requirements better... hug.gif PS3's not going anywhere though. Just used for the exclusives most likely.
