Anyone excited?

I love BioWare up the bum...

QUOTE

As the spiritual successor to BioWare's Baldur's Gate, one of the most successful role-playing games in the industry, Dragon Age: Origins represents BioWare's return to its roots, delivering a fusion of the best elements of existing fantasy works with stunning visuals, emotionally-driven narrative, heart-pounding combat, powerful magic abilities and credible digital actors. The spirit of classic RPGs comes of age, as Dragon Age: Origins features a dark and mature story and gameplay.

lol_2.gif what a slut.

In the U.S there's a special edition coming containing:

Tin Case
Bonus DVD including:
A making of documentary
Soundtrack
Trailers
Wallpaper
Concept art video
Strategy tips.
Cloth Map
3 pieces of exclusive in-game content:
Bergens Honor
Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes
Final Reason
The Stone Prisoner" unlockable bonus quest and unlockable character, Shale
An unlockable exclusive in-game item for use in the upcoming title Mass Effect 2

No word if this is coming out here, but, I think it's safe to assume that it will be in some shape or form. Gunna opt for the special edition methinks.

My Cmdr Shephard never found the sex scene in Mass Effect. Poor bugger. He wanted to shag Joker. lol_2.gif

Not been following this game though as it's (seemingly) light years away from release. Watching that video makes it look terribly complicated but I know the interface will be a lot less cluttered for the consoles. I am looking forward to fighting dragons, I hope there are lots of them. Blue ones, red ones, black ones, gold ones, etc. Like in the DragonLance books.

I wonder if I was thinking of Diablo III or Starcraft 2 then. unsure.gif Even though neither have been announced for consoles.

Delayed... not until 2010 like most others but November 6 for PC and 360 and "later" for PS3.

Is that "official"?? I read that they were still aiming for the date, but, like the date you've given, it could be a few weeks later. It's hardly a massive delay..

QUOTE

Dragon Age: Origins Executive Producer Mark Darrah told IGN the slight delay had nothing to do with any technical issues for the game, adding the studio just needed a couple more weeks to make some last minute decisions.

"We're just taking a little time to finalize things," Darrah said. "We're focusing on making sure that we bring each SKU up to quality." Bioware demands each version of the game to be in tip-top shape for release, so the studio is focusing on each platform one at a time.

Dragon Age: Origins for Playstation 3 won't be shipping simultaneously with the PC and Xbox 360 versions, but instead later in November. Darrah explained the reasoning behind this, only saying "this is just the order we've chosen to [release] them in."

He also assured the PS3 version was not being held back due to development issues, and added it's "coming along great."

Darrah also wouldn't nail down a release date for the Playstation 3 version, but said it will come out "pretty soon" after the others.

Not any more...

I was watching a hands-on preview on Giant Bomb. The controls look horribly clunky on the consoles as they don't have the same UI as the PC which allows for buttons to be placed all over the screen.

Played this yesterday at the Eurogamer Expo. It's a weird one. Kinda clunky at first, I reckon it would take some time to get to grips with.

Only 4 days to go! Has no-one pre-ordered it? It's a rental for me until I see how it plays in person. All my dosh has gone on Modern Warfare 2.
